Why should I get my practice deep cleaned?

SARS-CoV-2, the virus that causes COVID-19, is thought to be spread primarily through respiratory droplets. Airborne transmission from person-to-person over long distances is unlikely. However, with the introduction of aerosols through AGPs, transportation of virus particles onto surfaces and around a practice is higher risk and likely to be quicker. The virus has been shown to survive longer on surfaces it settles on with scientists suggesting up to as long as nine days. However, it is unclear whether these particles are sufficient to cause an infection.
Using a misting bacterial solution will specifically target and kill bacteria and viruses that has settled on surfaces and still be alive. The more often misting is used the higher the chance of killing harmful particles. Whilst many dental practices are wanting the peace of mind for patients and staff that the environment is bacteria free, before returning to work, the true value of misting is in regular application after treatments have been formed.

Proven Ramsol formula

The misting formula has been tried and tested for several years. Whilst being proven to effectively kill 99.9% of bacteria, it also has been independently tested against an extensive list of viruses, fungi and moulds. Including the notorious MRSA, VISA and VRE bacteria, E-Coli 0157:H7, BCG (Mycobacterium tuberculosis) and the equally feared viruses HIV-1, Hepatitis B&C and Poliovirus Type 1. Meets BSEN 1276 and 1650 for food handling area sanitisation/disinfection.
It has also proven to be effective against a wide range of Coronaviruses and Type A Influenza viruses; this group includes Swine Flu, Chinese and Japanese Flu strains, Wisconsin Avian Influenza and SARS. It has been widely used for several years in the disinfection of compact medical environments such as ambulances.
Our sanitising spray is specifically modified for the cleansing and disinfecting of hard and soft surfaces as well as tested and proven for use on skin and electrical medical devices. This product delivers residual action control of an extensive range of microorganisms whilst still protecting delicate surfaces.

Long-lasting

The biocides from the formula have a long-lasting residual impact, killing bacteria it comes into touch with for up to 7 days after application.

Safe

The formula is alcohol-free which avoids issues with skin drying, irritation or flammability. It’s perfectly safe for use on electrical products and medical devices from x-rays, dental units chairs through to laptops, keyboards and phones. Its streak-free and non-corrosive finish on most surfaces including glass and stainless steel means you can work soon after application, without the need to wipe down or protect certain equipment items.

Fast-acting

Application takes approximately 5-10 minutes per surgery. Engineers can attend before surgery hours (subject to access) to ensure areas are misted and ready for use when surgery opens.
After the mist spray has been applied an area, it should be left for 15 minutes with no ventilation disturbance (close all doors and window, turn off A/C), prior to normal use being resumed.

Want to show to your patients you are taking safety seriously?

Patients will be hesitant to revisit dental practices after the lockdown has ended. Deep cleaning with misting technology is an effective way to prove your commitment to a safe environment. Once complete, you’ll received a certificate, which you are able to display, and imagery of the misting in action which you can use on your website and social media to promote. Whilst you are taking steps to reduce the likelihood of virus and bacteria transmission, this will also give confidence to your staff and patients!
